Navodaya Central School Students Witness NISAR Launch Live – A Historic First for Raichur
In a landmark educational experience, 45 students from Navodaya Central School had the unforgettable opportunity to witness the launch of the NISAR satellite live at ISRO’s Sriharikota Space Centre on 30th July 2025 at 5:40 PM IST.
This satellite, a collaboration between NASA and ISRO, will revolutionize Earth observation and disaster monitoring. The students, accompanied by four dedicated teachers, became part of history as they saw India’s technological capabilities soar into space.
The event was made possible through the continuous encouragement of Chairman Shri S. R. Reddy, along with Director Dr. Latika Bhatia and Principal Mr. M. V. Rajan, who believe in learning beyond the classroom.
This milestone not only enriched the students’ academic journey but also ignited in them a newfound passion for science and space exploration.
